Lafayette Ball
Join Historic Richmond Town in celebrating the bicentennial of the arrival of Our Nation’s Guest by dancing the night away on Saturday, April 27, in the historic 1837 Third County Courthouse. General Lafayette, hero of the American Revolution, and French nobleman, returned to the country he helped create in 1824. His first stop? Tompkinsville, Staten Island! The gaily decorated courtroom will set the scene for social dances from the period which will be called by Susan de Guardiola. Period costume is always admired but not required. Let’s have a ball! Vive Lafayette!
