We're only two weeks into 2015, but it's safe to say Empire City Casino has already made someone's year.
Kevin Curran of Yonkers, New York, scored a $100,000 jackpot at Empire City Casino on January 9. Curran made a wager of $100 on the "Double Diamond" slot machine when Lady Luck came calling.
There are still 10 jackpots worth six-figures—including possible scores of nearly $800,000 and over a half million dollars —heating up the frigid air in the Northeast in Yonkers. Four of the potential jackpots are at the popular Wheel of Fortune machines, including the $799,603 life-changer at the Wheel of Fortune Triple Stars progressive slot, which requires a 2-credit wager on the $10 machine (total $20 wager) to win the top prize.
In addition to the nine other six-figure bounties that have yet to be won, there are plenty of jackpots to go around at Empire City, with another 17 jackpots over $50,000 and hundreds more between $10,000 and $50,000.
Each year, patrons at Empire City Casino win billions of dollars. According to New York State Lottery reports, Empire City Casino returned nearly $7.2 billion to bettors in 2014.
Because Lady Luck likes to share the wealth.
